Meh...it's okay

Comments:

If you're looking for a bag to carry tons of mallets this is perfect for you. If you're looking for a bag to carry tons of mallets and keep them organized, look elsewhere. It's really big and not made with the best material but I guess you get what you pay for. The mallets fall out of the pockets if you're not careful and if you open the wrong flap, all your mallets will be on the floor. I'd look elsewhere.

It is what it is...

Comments:

My ensembles have used this bag for years now and they work well to be mounted on a keyboard for mallet changes as others have stated. However, I do not and would not use this bag as an everyday percussion student/professional. Go with an LHS style bag (Vic Firth makes one similar as do many other companies) to serve that purpose. This is not the bag to use if you are not mounting it on a keyboard. Your mallets WILL fall out and not stay organized. Don't poorly rate a product because it does not function like the others. They designed this bag for drum corps, marching band and indoor pits/front ensembles. Do your homework and buy a different bag.

Good Bag

Comments:

This is the bag I used for years in high school for marching band and indoor drumline. The big pockets are great for quick mallet changes, but that's about all they're good for. Mallets will shift a lot during transport, and you have to be careful about how you open and close it or else everything inside will fall out. But the huge outer pocket is great for storing extra mallets, tape, music, or anything you might need on hand quickly. The bag I used started to fall apart a little at the corners after a few years, but it was easily stitched back together and it held for quite some time. I wouldn't recommend this bag for someone just looking for a way to carry mallets/sticks from point A to point B, but if you're gonna need to change mallets in just a few beats this is a great bag.

Huge!

Comments:

I got this bag, but was immediately surprised by how large this bag is! It is great if you want a bag this big. I was looking for a large bag, but even more me this is too big! Be warned that the 24" by 27" is the measurements when it is CLOSED. This bag is about as big as my torso, and much too big for me to carry around to practice with. It is high quality and you won't find another bag this big for the same price, but just realize you are getting a HUGE bag! :)

bag

Comments:

I love this bag. It is all I will use. It does break a little easier than expected IF NOT TREATED PROPERLY. The bag needs to be stored flat or stand up, or the sticks will fall out of place. IT IS GREAT for mallet changes. super large and holds almost 40 pairs of my mallets
