This is a very nice cowbell for the money. I have friends who have paid 3x for their cowbells. The only problem is that their bells do sound better. This one sounds good but not as commanding as the more expensive ones. So it is something to consider. I wanted a cowbell as a musical accessory so I am very pleased.

This cowbell has a nice medium-pitched tone. It does come with muting but if you mount a lot of instruments on a rack or something you will still hear it when hitting something else close to it. Use moongel on the bottom unmuted part and it works fine.
