Aluphone Concert Travel 2.5 Octave - Product Information
The Aluphone Concert Travel is a two and a half octave chromatic set of Aluphone Bells and a great choice for the touring percussion player. It is the most popular model and several major works has been written for it. It is the same instrument as the Aluphone Concert, but it can be taken apart in smaller pieces for easy transport. You can divide it into five parts and it fits easily into you baggage. You can bring it on your next flight, the weight is only 18 kg. The instrument comes with an adjustable mounting system (the same as for the Aluphone Concert), designed for use in conjunction with regular cymbal stands. Flexible height make it perfect for use with other percussive instruments in a multi percussion setup.
The Aluphone is a very versatile instrument. Its sound is reminiscent of the vibraphone, gamelan and Tibetan singing bowl all wrapped up into one. The Concert Set is a two and a half standard octaves of bells including an adjustable mounting system, designed for use in conjunction with regular cymbal stands.. Aluphones can be played with a variety of mallets each delivering a different tamber. The bells are not affected by weather elements delivering a consistent sound making them ideal for outdoor applications.
